The Morning After: IPadOS 14.0 Brings Mouse & Trackpad Support

Hey, good morning! You look amazing.

The iPad, years after its launch it's now able to be used with either a trackpad or mouse. The 13.4 update that was released yesterday for iOS and iPadOS added that and a number of other new features, like the ability to use third-party navigation apps on the CarPlay dashboard, as well as a the revamped iCloud file sharing that will be much more efficient.

The browser remains the most significant change. Safari for iOS, iPadOS and macOS now blocks all third-party cookies on its own and is the first mainstream browser to do it. Google has announced it will follow suit with Chrome but only until 2022. This is a significant privacy improvement since it removes any notion that exceptions are allowed or that cross-site tracking is permitted. I'm more secure now, and I use Android.

The FlexPai 2 will be the first phone to use Royole's most flexible display.Royole's next foldable phone is much more adept at bending

Royole was the first to market with an adjustable phone that folds and is now ready for round 2. Royole claims that the FlexPai 2 will have Royole's third-generation Cicada Wing FFD, which features a significantly increased bend radius. It's now only 1mm. The FlexPai 2 is still able to bend over 200,000 times even though it has a 3mm diameter.

This gives the phone an improved fold, possibly even better than Huawei's Mate Xs, which has a similar flexible outward-facing screen. The company is working with ZTE on future phones -which means you're more likely to see one in the wild.
